We created the family chess game to make classic chess feel welcoming from the very first move. Families told us they wanted screen-free time that still felt exciting and rewarding, so we paired a sturdy folding board and weighted pieces with a quick-start guide and two illustrated reference cards. That way, new players can learn by doing while experienced players still enjoy a thoughtful match.
